Bologna lost against Parma

Parma defeated Bologna 2-0. Ange-Yoan Bonny and Simon Sohm's goals helped Parma, now led by new coach Cristian Chivu, win the Emilia-Romagna regional derby despite Bologna's best efforts against a well-organized squad. This week, the Ducali fired Fabio Pecchia and hired Chivu as their new manager, who had a long list of injuries to deal with. Their injury problem worsened right away, as Nahuel Estevez replaced Adrian Bernabé, who hobbled off after five minutes due to an upper thigh problem. But still, the team pulled through and won all three points from their meeting.

With the 2-0 victory, Parma moved up to 23 points in the Serie A rankings and temporarily avoided the drop zone. On Saturday, however, Lazio and Venezia played another Serie A encounter that finished in a goalless tie. Following their 2-2 draw with Napoli last week, Marco Baroni's team scored their second straight draw against Venezia.
