Bologna delivered an impressive performance at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara yesterday, defeating Napoli 2-0 in a one-sided Serie A encounter. The home side controlled the match from start to finish, leaving Antonio Conte's Napoli looking offensively null and totally unable to muster a significant response.

After a goalless first half, the breakthrough came in the 50th minute. Thijs Dallinga expertly turned in a cross from the left, getting ahead of his marker to fire Bologna into a deserved lead. The lead was doubled just sixteen minutes later when defender Jhon Lucumí rose highest to head home a precise cross from Emil Holm, sealing the three points for the Rossoblù. The victory was a significant one for Vincenzo Italiano's side, who thoroughly outplayed their opponents throughout the 90 minutes. An emotional subplot saw 17-year-old goalkeeper Pessina make his debut, coming on for the injured Skorupski.
