The rumoured signing fee for Kluivert, the son of former Netherlands striker Patrick Kluivert, is 9.6 million pounds ($12.21 million). The 24-year-old played 29 games while on loan at Valencia of LaLiga last season, scoring eight goals. In a statement, Neill Blake, the chief executive of Bournemouth, said, "We are thrilled to have made Justin our first signing ahead of the new season." The two-cap Kluivert also spent time on loan at Nice and RB Leipzig of the Ligue 1 league.
The attacker is anticipated to join Bournemouth for the start of preseason early next month before the team travels to Marbella for a preseason training camp, the club confirmed. Before hosting Atalanta two weeks later and Lorient on August 5, Bournemouth will play Maccabi Tel Aviv in Marbella on July 16.
