Breel Embolo hints at desire to extend AS Monaco contract

Following his move from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2022, Embolo enjoyed a strong debut campaign at the Principality club, netting 14 times in all competitions. However, he missed all of the entirety of last season after suffering an ACL injury in pre-season.

Back fit, he is also on form this season. The goals didn’t flow in the opening games, although he was vital to Les Monégasques in build-up. He now has two in his last two games, however. With just 18 months remaining on his contract at Monaco, the question of a renewal is a pertinent one.

Asked by Get French Football News journalist Luke Entwistle whether a renewal was in the pipeline, Embolo responded: “I’ll take that and say that to the president and the sporting director! I’m not thinking about it too much,” told the Swiss international.
