Brest defeated Toulouse 3-0

Unexpected gift On Sunday, Brest defeated Lille to take the third spot in Ligue 1, securing their first-ever Champions League qualifying. Brest started the day in fourth position, one goal behind Lille on goal differential. The top three teams in France's premier division advance directly to the 36-team Champions League, which will be extended for the following season, while the club in fourth place advances via the qualifying rounds.

Jordan Amavi, Kenny Lala, and Mahdi Camara scored goals in the second half to help the Brittany club easily win 3-0 away at Toulouse. Then, in Lille, they needed a favor, and they received it when the home team gave up late to tie Nice 2-2. After Lille's first goal came from Gaetan Laborde, they appeared to be on their way to win but goals from Hakon Haraldsson and Benjamin Andre in the second half turned the tide of the match.
