Brighton left Liverpool stunned

The team that once dominated the table for weeks is languishing in the fourth place and its title hope this season seems distant. They are 7 points adrift of Manchester City who also has an additional game in hand. While Liverpool faces defeat at the hands of struggling Brighton by 1-0 at Anfield. Their title chances took a huge hit with the loss. The injury-hit team made it easy for Brighton to get in a winner while the champions were reeling behind, Steven Alzate's second-half goal gave 15th placed team a win to remember against a sloppy display by Jurgen Klopp's side.

This was Brighton’s first away win against Liverpool since 1982. Dan Burn pushed a cross towards Alzate and the Colombia midfielder later lifted the shot inside the far post. The Reds are in desperate need of a win that would boost their morale before Liverpool faces City on Sunday at Anfield.
