Cadiz won against Athletic Bilbao with a 9-men team

Promoted Cadiz won against Athletic Bilbao in a historic win with nine players on the team after two of the players were sent off mid-match. The first half witnessed a goalless run by both the teams at San Mames, thereafter Carlos Akapo was sent off the field but Unai Nunez’s unfortunate own goal gave Cadiz some hope, then the starting XI came down to 9 after Alvaro Negredo was dismissed from the match, as pressure built on Alvaro Cervera’s side they still managed to hold on to their lead and won the match by 1-0 securing the precious three points leaving them with a total of six points from four matches.
