Cagliari 1-1 Fiorentina

Cagliari and Fiorentina head into halftime locked at 0-0 at the Unipol Arena, with the home side creating the best chances. In the 22nd minute, Folorunsho rose to meet a cross and powered a header that seemed destined for the net, beating De Gea, only for Robin Gosens to clear it right off the line. The German defender was central to the half, later pulling up with a groin problem but staying on until the break to assess whether he could continue.

Toward the end of the half, Cagliari appealed for a penalty after a handball, but VAR saw nothing in it. Fiorentina, meanwhile, struggled badly and failed to register a single shot on goal, a rare statistic they hadn’t matched since facing Empoli in September 2024. After the restart, however, the Viola found their rhythm and struck first to take the lead.
