Cagliari comes from behind to win in Serie A

Cagliari scored twice in injury time to beat visiting Sassuolo 2-1, moving them out of the relegation zone and into 16th position, one place ahead of Sassuolo.

Sassuolo took the lead against Cagliari after seven minutes, thanks to a header from Martin Erlić, and continued to play effectively even after defender Ruan Tressoldi was sent off 17 minutes into the second half. However, injury time was action-packed. Gianluca Lapadula equalized for Cagliari only seconds after a second goal was ruled out for offside. Then, with practically the last kick of the game, Leonardo Pavoletti scored from an overhead kick to put Cagliari ahead and earn the Sardinian team their third league win. Their efforts in added time handed them all three points of the match. Inter Milan currently leads the league by two points over Juventus.
