Cagliari hard-fought 3-2 win at Parma

One of just two teams without a win at the beginning of the day was the Sardinian club. It advances to position 16. Twice Parma erased its advantage, but Cagliari would not back down.

The squad who performed better at the beginning established a well-earned lead in the 34th minute. Zito Luvumbo, an Angolan winger, crossed the ball when the Parma defense failed to clear it, allowing Nadir Zortea to score and stroll home unopposed. Parma took sixty-two minutes to equalize. On the left flank, Woyo Coulibaly displayed some deft footwork before cutting back to allow Dennis Man to slot home with style. After 73 minutes, Romanian midfielder Marin came in to replace Luvumbo, and two minutes later, he doubled the lead for his team. From midfield, Michel Adopo raced forward, found Marin on the outside of the box, and from 20 meters out, he curled a magnificent shot into the far corner.
