Cannavaro wants to return to the bench as soon as possible. After his departure from Guangzhou, he has sounded for the Polish national team, but the Premier League seems to be the next destination for the former Ballon d'Or.

According to 'The Sun', the Italian joins the list of possible coaches for the Toffees, among which are Frank Lampard and Wayne Rooney, two other key figures of international soccer in the panorama of the last decade.

Everton are considering hiring the Italian, while Duncan Ferguson has taken charge of the first team. There could be important developments in the coming days.

After Cannavaro, the English club will interview Rooney, who has fond memories of his time at Goodison Park as a player. Everton will have to make a decision soon and possibly announce it after playing against Aston Villa.
