Casillas considers Ronaldo is still very dependable

It doesn't matter how good Gareth bale gets in the future, there is no chance he will reach Cristiano Ronaldo's level because Cris is a unique kind of player who will never be replaced in the pantheon of the best players in the club's history. That's the reason why Florentino Perez upgraded Ronaldo's contract for five more years, the player will keep taking good care of his body and will remain one of the best players the club has for a long time.

His former teammate Iker Casillas, was questioned about Real Madrid's decision to sign Ronaldo for five more seasons, he agrees it was a no-brainer as he told Europa Press that: "He's a fantastic player who has given much for Real Madrid. It [the contract extension] is clearly going to win over the fans and now he knows he is still depended on. The level of demand will be higher and they [the fans] will be who will put the limits [to expectations], so hopefully Ronaldo will continue for a long time."

Casillas also spoke about the upcoming Madrid Derby, to which he said: "I obviously hope Real Madrid win. But it is a match that has a lot riding on it and for Atletico Madrid it is vital because if they don't win it harms their fight for the title. But if they win it decreases the points to the leaders who are Real Madrid."
