They may not like each other, they may even hate each other, but Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho share a lot of similarities according to players who have trained under both bosses. In what could arguably be considered one of the most bitter rivalries in English football today, the Portuguese manager who is much younger than the Frenchman, has won a lot more trophies than the Gunners boss and more important ones as well.
But that doesn't make Wenger less of a talented manager compared to Jose Mourinho, in fact, they share a lot of similarities according to goalkeeper Petr Cech. They both are coaches who have managed to get record-breaking league titles in two of the most competitive tournaments in Europe. They both are natural born winners and they don't like losing.
Talking to reporters, Cech spoke freely about his experience so far with Wenger and what he can compare it from the experience with Mourinho: "Wenger and Mourinho are different but there is one thing they have in common and that is that they do not like defeats. And I think this is the driving force behind the success of both of them. Because you cannot last for such a long time if you do not have the commitment and the hunger and if you are not doing everything to avoid defeat."
