Chelsea drops points with a draw against Wolves

Chelsea’s title run took a hit with the goalless draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers at a Foggy Molineux Stadium. Before the match visitors were requesting a postponement of the match but the game was not called off. Facing a determined Wolves on the other side, Blues could not create a lot of chances and it rarely involved Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa.

In their title run Chelsea is trailing behind Manchester City by six points after Everton left them hungry for a win in midweek and the draw against Wolves did not help matters. Hosts came close once when Daniel Podence fired the ball in the back of the net but the goal was ruled out as offside. Chelsea was dealing with a stack of positive cases which left their squad depleted and even Manager Thomas Tuchel expressed anger at the decision to play.
