Chelsea faces a a crushing setback

Lucas Paqueta of West Ham has had a difficult few days when it became known that the Brazilian is under investigation by Fifa and the English Football Association for possible betting violations. Despite Paqueta's swift denial of the claims, he was not included in Brazil's squad for the September World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru. The 26-year-old, who has been linked with a transfer to Manchester City, the reigning Premier League champions, was still included in the starting lineup for the Hammers against Chelsea and ended up scoring their third and final goal from the penalty spot in a 3-1 victory.

West Ham also saw James Ward-Prowse pick up two assists, but Chelsea's high-profile Brighton acquisition Moises Caicedo gave away the penalty that allowed Paqueta to score.
