Chelsea rescues a last-minute equalizer against Bournemouth

Reece James' free kick in the fifth minute of stoppage time helped Chelsea rescue a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at home, but the team's league winless streak now stands at five games. Playing his first league match since November due to injury, James, a second-half replacement, beat goalkeeper Mark Travers with a curler that was brilliantly placed into the far corner of the net.

Chelsea's 14th goal of the season came via Cole Palmer's clever finish in the 13th minute, but Bournemouth responded when Antoine Semenyo earned a penalty kick, which Justin Kluivert converted, then hammered in a rising finish in the 68th. Enzo Maresca, the coach of Chelsea, claimed his team deserved more, particularly after what he called one of their greatest halves of the season. At least until Wednesday's game against fifth-place Newcastle, Chelsea remained in fourth position.
