Chelsea set Azpilicueta's price tag at 8 million euros

Barcelona are determined to sign Cesar Azpilicueta to strengthen their defensive wings for the 2022-23 season. The two sides have reached an agreement, but an understanding has yet to be reached with Chelsea.

After the agreement with Azpilicueta, Barcelona must negotiate with the London club. The 'Evening Standard' explained that Chelsea will ask for eight million euros to let the Spanish player leave. The 'La Roja' international has been in contact with both Thomas Tuchel, his manager, and Todd Boehle, Chelsea's new owner, to inform them of his decision to leave.

Chelsea want to recover the eight million euros they paid to Olympique Marseille to get the former Osasuna player. However, Barcelona will try to reduce the price.

Tuchel wants to have his replacement secured before accepting Barcelona's offer. In the meantime, the Catalan giants are working on bringing in more attacking players.
