La Gazzetta dello Sport state that while Napoli have exercised their option to extend the Cameroonian’s contract till 2027 and while they would want to renew his contract beyond that, there is major interest from Chelsea and Monaco.
The Blues are trying to execute a move and are pushing for it. Monaco have previously tried to sign him last summer, with Zambo Anguissa’s family currently interested in an exit from Naples. This encouragement is making Chelsea engineer a potential move.
So far this season, the midfielder has scored six Premier League goals and has already won the Scudetto under Luciano Spalletti. He has previously had a stint with another London club in Fulham, who had initially loaned him to Villarreal and then to Napoli before selling him permanently.
