Chelsea’s Kai Havertz nets a sensational late winner

Kai Havertz snatched a late score as Chelsea arose successfully on a disappointing evening against Newcastle at Stamford Bridge. The German, who was fortunate not to accept his walking orders in the primary half, clinically snatched each of the three points as Blues finished a turbulent week with a success.

Thomas Tuchel's side battled against Newcastle in the main half but stayed unsuccessful. Dan Burn streaked a header wide for the guests not long after the half-hour mark when Havertz was lucky not to see red for an elbow on a Newcastle player. Magpies smothered Chelsea with a different 4-3-3 combination but they got through a disappointing first half and got their miraculous goal in the end. In other Premier League matches Arsenal put two past Leicester City to win at Emirates Stadium.
