Club World Cup 2018 sets up semi-finals

The UAE's Al Ain reached the Club World Cup semi-final for the first time after they disposed of Tunisia's Esperance 3-0.

Zoran Mamic's men took just two minutes to take the lead when Mohamed Ahmed scored and their lead was doubled thanks to a goal from Hussein El Sharhat.

The win arrived with Bandar Mohammed to set up a semi-final clash with Copa Libertadores champions River Plate.

A second half fightback from Kashima Antlers allowed them to advance in the Club World Cup at the expense of Chivas of Guadalajara, winning 3-2 in the end.

An Angel Zaldivar goal put the Mexican side in front for a lead.

Ryota Nagaki levelled but after that, Serginho netted from the penalty spot.

Hiroki Abe scored again and despite Leo Silva's own goal, the Japanese side held on to advance.

Go Oiwa's side will match European heavyweights Real Madrid.
