Como celebrated a dream Champions League debut with a commanding 4‑1 victory over RB Leipzig at the Sinigaglia, producing a performance that suggested they belonged on Europe’s biggest stage from the outset. Cesc Fabregas’s team struck first after fifteen minutes when Martin Baturina reacted quickest to a loose clearance and fired home from the centre of the box. The Croatian playmaker then turned provider, slipping Tasos Douvikas through for a composed finish that doubled the lead before half‑time.

Early in the second half, Como tightened their grip as Diao unleashed a stunning angled strike to make it 3‑0. Leipzig briefly responded through Maksimovic, converting a pass from former Milan forward Nkunku, but the visitors’ momentum faded quickly. Late on, Perrone completed the rout, sealing a memorable night for the Italian club. For Como, their maiden Champions League outing became an unforgettable showcase of authority, efficiency and attacking flair.
