The second CONCACAF team that will play the Copa America Centenario this Saturday will be Costa Rica. They face the National Team of Paraguay at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, FL. They will have their most importat absence of the team in Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who has an achilles tendon problem and will miss out on the whole tournament. His place will be taken by Patrick Pemberton, who is a local goalkeeper with more experience than Navas.
The Costa Rican best players will be Arsenal's Sol Campbell, Bryan Ruiz and Celso Borges. On Paraguay's side we have veteran skipper Paulo da Silva, but they left out familiar names such as Roque Santa Cruz, Lucas Barrios and Raul Bobadilla. Their place has been taken by Edgar Benitez who is their top player, Nestor Ortigoza and Richard Ortiz.
Paraguay's Balbuena, said the following about the upcoming match:"At international level all prepare in the best way. I think the teams renowned for producing good performances are the candidates. But we also place ourselves as candidates because we know the potential we have. Anyone can beat anyone in football, or you can have a bad afternoon or bad night and go out of the competition. First you have to respect others and think about ourselves and going step by step towards our objective and make clear that Paraguay is not only here to compete. The opponent to beat is Costa Rica … I think we'll get on fine on Saturday."
Possible lineups:
