Copa America Centenario: Haiti vs Peru preview

Gone are the historic Peruvian players such as Jefferson Farfan, Claudio Pizarro or Juan Manuel Vargas, who weren't call-up by manager Gareca. Instead they will have to rely on Paolo Guerrero who is 32 years old and has a lot of experience on the international level. They were able to reach third place in the last two Copa America back in 2011 in Argentina, and the last one in Chile during 2015.

Their striker Paolo Guerrero, expects to defeat Haiti. He told La Republica: "In this squad there is a lot of quality. Every day I am surprised by the boys, hopefully on game day they can play with ease but knowing that they represent the whole country. They are doing things well, and I hope they keep it up."

The French speaking team on the other side, are novice debutants and will settle with just participating on a tournament too big for their actual game level or capabilities. They are just happy to be included in this year's special edition of the Copa America Centenario. The Game will be played at Century Link Field in the city of Seattle.

Possible lineups:

Haiti starting lineup (4-4-2 formation): Placide; Alcenat, Jerome, Aveska, Goreux; Alexandre, Marcelin, Norde, Millien; Maurice, Belfort.

Peru starting lineup (4-3-3 formation): Gallese; Revoredo, Rodriguez, Ramos, Corzo; Yotun, Cueva, Balbin; Flores, Guerrero, Ruidiaz.
