Copa del Rey semi-finals confirmed: Atletico vs Barcelona, Basque derby

The 2025/26 Copa del Rey is coming to an end and the draw took place to determine the semi-final fixtures. Barcelona, who knocked Albacete out in the quarter-finals, will face an Atletico Madrid side bolstered by winter signings, who crushed Betis in the previous round.
Meanwhile, the other semi-final will be the iconic Basque derby of Spanish football, pitting Athletic Club against Real Sociedad. The Lions defeated Valencia by the narrowest of margins in the quarter-finals, while the Txuri-Urdin claimed a 3-2 away victory over Alaves.
The first legs will be played on 10th and 12th February. The ties will be decided between 3rd and 5th March, just over a month before the grand final on 18th or 19th April.
