Daley Blind also defends Van Gaal

Following along with the people who disagree with Louis Van Gaal's dismissal, we have his trusted centre back Daley Blind who was brought by the Dutch manager to the Red Devils right after the last World Cup in 2014. His amazing performance in Brazil was the main reason why they brought him, so people can get to understand why Blind is not happy with the manager's exit from the club. There is still no information on whether he will choose to go to another club or if he will stay and wait for the new manager to let him know his intentions.

The most likely scenario is that Mourinho will be announced this Wednesday and as soon as he gets to work, his first move will be to talk to each and every player. Among those players there is Blind, who talked to De Telegraaf about Van Gaal's exit: "I have always worked with him quite well and would have loved to continue doing so. You are always under a lot of pressure when you are in charge of a big club in England, but Van Gaal has not been treated fairly over the past six months. I think Van Gaal has achieved so much that he deserves more respect.

"But despite all the criticism, he always protected the players. I think the team has always been very grateful for that. It's not easy for a manager when you have already been sacked 82 times according to the papers. But we always kept believing in each other and in the manager, with the FA Cup as a beautiful reward. We did it all together for the fans, the manager and the players themselves. All in all, it was a good end to the season."
