With 63 points from 27 games, Darwin Nunez's goal in the 99th minute moved Liverpool four points clear of second-place Manchester City, even though Pep Guardiola's team still has a game in hand. Nunez’s late header gives Premier League leaders Liverpool a 1-0 victory against relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest on Saturday. The three points take their tally to 63 points from 27 games while City follows with 59.
The Forest goalie Matz Sels made some amazing late stops, but it was not enough to stop Nunez's heroics, which sent manager Juergen Klopp and the Liverpool bench into a frenzy of joy as Liverpool kept up the pressure. In the West London derby at the Brentford Community Stadium, defender Axel Disasi headed an equalizer in the 83rd minute to give Chelsea a 2-2 draw with Brentford. Chelsea battled back to secure a point.
