Feyenoord star David Hancko has expressed frustration over his failed move to Atletico Madrid. The Spanish club, despite bolstering their defense with Robin Le Normand from Real Sociedad, remains interested in Hancko. However, negotiations have stalled as Feyenoord stands firm on their €35 million asking price.
Hancko is eager to make the switch but has noted Atletico's desire for more flexibility in discussions. He clarified that media reports suggesting his head was turned by Atletico's salary offer were misleading, stating, “I have a great contract here. For me, it’s not about money.” He emphasized his love for Feyenoord, acknowledging that any financial demands from the club are beyond his control. With Atletico Madrid heading off for preseason matches in Hong Kong and Sweden, it appears unlikely that negotiations will resume in the immediate future, leaving Hancko to focus on improving his game at Feyenoord.
