De Zerbi awaits updates on Solanke and Simons after injury setbacks

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi says the club will assess injuries to Dominic Solanke and Xavi Simons after both were forced off during the 1‑0 victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers. Solanke departed in the fortieth minute with a muscular issue, while Simons was withdrawn just after the hour mark due to a knee problem. Despite the disruptions, João Palhinha’s eighty‑second‑minute strike secured Spurs’ first league win in sixteen matches at Molineux, keeping them eighteenth on thirty‑four points, two from safety with four games remaining.

De Zerbi told reporters that Solanke’s problem “is not a big issue” but admitted greater concern over Simons, noting that knee injuries “are always different than muscular injuries.” Tottenham, facing the threat of their first top‑flight relegation since 1977, now prepare for a crucial trip to Aston Villa on Sunday as they await clarity on the fitness of two important starters.
