Debut-hero Leweling pushed Germany past Netherlands

The Germans thought they had broken the deadlock just two minutes into the game with Jamie Leweling, but following a VAR check, the goal was disallowed for offside. Nagelsmann's men had all the chances in the first period, while the dutch went into the break with zero attempts on target.

The second was relatively slower, but it was the  Stuttgart man again, who rose up to net a powerful strike into the top corner of Verbruggen's goal. After being denied by VAR, Leweling handed Germany the game-winning goal at 65'. Xavi Simons and substitute Malen came close to an equaliser in the final moments, but it was not enough to stop Julian Nagelsmann's men from bagging the maximum points at the Allianz Arena.
