Back in the 2003-2004 season, a young manager named Jose Mourinho stepped into Old Trafford with the dream of possibly defeating Manchester United. Back then a Brazilian born Portuguese player named Deco was starting to write his history as a playmaker for FC Porto, Mourinho was doing the same and in his celebrating as they eliminated the English giants from the competition somehow he knew that someday he would return to that stadium.
Today after managing in England with Chelsea, in Italy with Inter Milan and in Spain with Real Madrid, it looks like Mourinho finally has the necessary credentials to coach the Red Devils. The local press keeps doing what ever they can to make Mourinho sign for the Red Devil in detriment of Dutch manager Louis Van Gaal. The legends are backing the Portuguese manager to take control of the team, one of them is Mou's compatriot Deco who was managed by him.
Talking to Omnisport, Deco said: "I don't know if he's going to United but, if it's true, in my opinion he is the right man for the job. In this moment United needs to bring back all its history and I think Mourinho is the perfect coach to train United. I worked with Mourinho when he was starting in football. At that time we had fantastic players and one young coach like Mourinho giving us everything us he knows. For us it was a fantastic moment because in that time I learned a lot. Not just me, me and the other players. We won everything we could. The memories are good and he was the best coach that I had. Our team, our generation at Porto was a fantastic experience."
