If this is how things are in the middle of the summer of 2016, we don`t even want to imagine how it will be in Qatar 2022 when global warming is at an all time high and the players have to perform at the highest level of competition. The temperatures last Saturday in Orlando Florida reached 35 degrees with a high level of humidity, this may seem low when you compare it to the temperatures other team's have had to experience in Arizona, which reach the 45 degrees celsius.
This topic of conversation is something that the Paraguay manager, Ramon Diaz, thinks it's important to take on. According to him, the humidity and heat were key factors in the development of their game against Costa Rica for both teams. Diaz is convinced that the matches should be played during a time where they don't have to withstand so much heat. He doesn't understand why the Copa America organizers don't make changes to this mistake.
After the goalless draw against Costa Rica, Diaz said: "It's crazy to play at the time we played. I would like to see a little more consideration and respect for the real protagonists, who are the players. We controlled the ball, but were just missing a goal. I'm satisfied. Personally, I liked the team. The players made a huge effort and a good match was played."
