Borussia Dortmund have officially recovered from the bad experience of the Europa League elimination quickly, they have reached the Pokal final which they will play against Bayern keeping their title hopes still alive for this season. Thomas Tuchel's side were on point throughout the whole game against a weak Herta side that couldn't do much against Dortmund's creative offensive line commanded by Shinji Kagawa, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marco Reus. The first goal came early on the 20th minute of the first half.
Castro took a loose ball after Kagawa sent a cross from the right and sent a potent strike from outside the box into the top corner for Dortmund's first. Herta attempted to respond during the rest of the first half and the better part of the second one, but Dortmund got their second goal fifteen minutes before the end of the game. It was Reus who connected with another Kagawa cross from the right and with a first touch, he got the second goal after an unlucky slip from a Herta defender in midfield.
Finally, on the 82nd minute, Marco Reus commanded a counter attack and gave the ball to Mkhitaryan for the third after moving past his marker with ease near the end line on the left. With this final result, Borussia Dortmund will play the Pokal final against the powerful Bayern Munich in Berlin. It will be an exciting match for both sides. Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel was very pleased with his team's reaction after the game.
