Emery is excited for keeping Matuidi

After the incredible European Championship he gave with his home country, midfielder Blaise Matuidi sparked the interest of many other clubs in Europe that consider him even better than Paul Pogba. Actually, Jose Mourinho will attempt to sign him if the Juventus players' arrival doesn't get completed. But for PSG manager Unai Emery, having Matuidi is a complete blessing and he isn't planning on letting him go anytime soon.

The coach has been constantly asked about Matuidi's future and if there is a possibility of him going to play for another club. Emery has no intentions of letting this happen, he told the press that: "Matuidi is a fantastic footballer and he belongs to PSG. He joins up later because he played the last game, the final of Euro 2016, with the French national team.

"We're waiting for him. He is a great footballer and logically I don't want to dispense with great footballers. We've spoken about how there are a lot of midfielders and that there could be a situation in a given moment that the player could leave, but of course, I as coach am behind him. The circumstances could change that, but in principle, it's not what I want."
