Former Black Stars midfielder Michael Essien could be joining Romanian club CFR Cluj.
CFR Cluj have reportedly expressed interest in signing the former Chelsea star who is currently unattached after ending his deal with Indonesian Club Persib Bandung.
Persib Bandung did not renew the contract of the Ghanaian midfielder at the end of the season leaving the 35-year-old without a Club.
Essien, who is yet to announce his retirement from the game might take a shot in playing in Europe before hanging his boots.
The UEFA Champions League winner is in advance talks with officials of CFR Cluj who wants to bring the experience midfielder.
The former Olympique Lyon star has already enjoyed fruitful spells with the likes of Italian giants AC Milan as well as Panathiniakos of Greece.
CFR Cluj will be playing in the UEFA Champions League next season after finishing first in the Romanian top-flight last season.
