European Championship 2016: France vs Switzerland preview

After the last victory against Albania in which the French made every single fan bite their nails until the last minute, Didier Deschamps side is expecting to end their Group stage run with a perfect record. They would much rather decide this next crucial match against Switzerland early in the game instead of the last minute, but the Swiss are the toughest rival of the group for them, this will be a very competitive match no doubt.

Defensive midfielder N'Golo Kante, gave a press conference to analyze the Swiss National team. He analyzed the performances the team has had in the last two games: "In the second half we played better, we played more quickly and finally we scored at the end of the game. It was beautiful for the team and a beautiful moment for the fans. It was difficult as the opponent wanted to stay in the competition. They needed one point for that and they fought until the end, but we managed to have success in the end."

Striker Admir Mehmedi who scored the goal which sealed the draw for Romania, revealed that he feels like Switzerland need revenge after the painful World Cup defeat they suffered against the French the last time they met. Talking to UEFA.com, he said: "We have some unfinished business against them. We know our last match against France wasn't good enough - it's certainly still in the back of our minds - but we're determined to do much better this time. It's bound to be a great game and a fantastic experience for us."

Possible lineups:

Switzerland starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Sommer; Lichtsteiner, Schar, Djourou, Rodriguez; Behrami, Xhaka; Shaqiri, Dzemaili, Mehmedi; Seferovic

France starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Lloris; Sagna, Rami, Koscielny, Evra; Kanté, Pogba; Griezmann, Payet, Martial; Giroud
