Ivorian centre-back Evan N'Dicka has been directly offered by AS Roma to Real Madrid for a reputed €40 million. This is a new development, according to Defensa Central. Although Real Madrid is actively seeking defensive reinforcements, the offer's timing and cost do not fit with the team's present priorities.
According to reports, the Italian club made the suggestion through its sporting directorate, knowing full well that Real Madrid had prioritised strengthening their backline following an injury-plagued season. The lack of depth became a major issue last season when both David Alaba and Eder Militao sustained long-term injuries. Clubs all around Europe have therefore recognised their chance, and Roma is no exception. The 25-year-old N'Dicka is a perfect example of a modern centre-back because he is left-footed, physically strong, calm in possession, and has top-tier experience from his time in the Bundesliga and Serie A.
