Along with the news of Andros Townsend joining the Seamus Coleman lead team, the former Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has also joined the squad on an initial 12-month contract. Begovic has played for some prime Premier League clubs like Stoke City in 2010, Chelsea in 2015, Bournemouth in 2017 and now in Everton. Begovic has his name registered in the Guinness Book of World Record for scoring the longest goal in football history (97.5 yards).
Begovic’s stealth has helped him keep 110 clean sheets throughout his career. He will be a valuable addition to the Everton team alongside the English National goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. It will be a tough task for Asmir to take in form Pickford’s position in the team, but his experience and good performance will surely help him get there.
