Everton missed the chance to get their hands on three points that would have boosted their chances of finishing in the top four this season but Michy Batshuayi's late equalizer in the 86th minute dented their hopes as they salvaged a draw for themselves at Goodison Park with 1-1 score. Eagles were searching for an equalizer and found one late in the match leaving Everton to regret their sloppy work as Batshuayi made it past and netted with just few minutes left on the clock.
Toffees even missed many chances to score while James Rodriguez's found an opener despite that. The first half remained uneventful with both the teams holding each other back until Rodriguez was able to break the deadlock 11 minutes after the second half and scored his 100th goal in European football. But Everton still dropped points.
