Fabián O'Neill, former Juventus player, dies aged 49

Former footballer Fabián O'Neill died on Sunday at the age of 49, after being admitted to the emergency hospital on Saturday morning, a victim of chronic cirrhosis.
The former Juventus midfielder (a club that was quick to offer condolences to the family) was known as 'El Mago', despite having ended his career at the age of 29 due to problems related to alcoholism.
It should be noted that the Uruguayan footballer trained at Nacional de Montevideo, later passing through clubs such as Cagliari, Juventus, Perugia, ending up returning later to the starting point.
O'Neill was capped 19 times by the Uruguayan national team, scoring two goals, having participated in the 2002 World Cup, ending up dying, Sunday, on Christmas Day, aged 49.
