Fabregas saves Chelsea at Leicester

Chelsea FC got quickly recovered from the unexpected Premier League defeat against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge from last Sunday, it was a Cesc Fabregas 3-minute brace what did the trick in a complicated fifth-round match at King Power Stadium against Leicester City. The Foxes started winning the match with an early brace from Shinji Okazaki, but Cahill and Azpilicueta equalized the match before the full 90 minutes and they took it to extra time.

Fabregas was quick to score two goals during the first extra time, the first goal was a beautiful team effort the Spaniard finished. After the match, he spoke to Sky Sports about the victory and qualification to the fourth round: "The team were fantastic. Hopefully this will shut [up] a few journalists, a few dailies [daily newspapers], a few whatever who are talking rubbish all the time. Let's focus on what is important – Chelsea winning. I am focused on winning and playing well when I have the chance to show what I can do. Because I know what I can do and it is a lot for this team."

Cahill also recognized they started the game in a weak tone: "We started the game sloppy, so sloppy. I know things are new and we're trying to learn different things but we started the game really sloppy. From midway through the first half and especially in the second half you saw what we want to do and the way we want to play."
