Paul Pogba, a former record signing, will not be joining Manchester United as they undergo yet another rebuild during the summer transfer window. Ruben Amorim will be in charge of recruitment during the off-season, but Fabrizio Romano stated in his GIVEMESPORT newsletter that rumours about the Frenchman's return are "not concrete" because he was only recently cleared to play again due to a doping ban.
After Erik ten Hag was fired due to a subpar season, Amorim took over at Old Trafford in November. Despite some immediate improvements under Amorim, the Red Devils are likely to finish the season in the bottom half of the Premier League after a terrible run of seven points in nine games. Although it's yet unclear who the Portuguese tactician would sign to turn his team around, he will have the opportunity to do so in the summer.
