After six weeks on the sidelines, Hearts of Oak defender Fatawu Mohammed returned to training on Tuesday at the team’s training base in Accra.
"He had a problem with his ankle but it was not a fracture but a partial tear,” Hearts physiotherapist Ernest Anum told the club’s official website.
“It needed time to heal and after going through the medical processes, Fatawu has been given the go-ahead to start training.”
“We will take our time on him because there's no need to rush him so he will be doing a lot of light training for now.”
The last time he featured for Phobians they drew goalless with Liberty Professionals at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Before sustaining the injury, Fatawu had featured in all the 11 league games for the Phobians but missed the last four to the end of the first round.
