According to reports, Fiorentina tried to recruit Thomas Müller as a free agent at the end of the current campaign, but the Bayern Munich striker rejected their offer. The 35-year-old's 17-season tenure at the Allianz Arena is about to end, as his club just confirmed that they will not be extending his contract, putting him on the market.
Müller is anticipated to draw attention from other European teams due to his class and winning record, and it appears Fiorentina acted swiftly to try and sign him. However, writer Christian Falk of Sport Bild stated that Muller is "not interested" in joining the Serie A team, even if he acknowledged that the Viola had offered him a transfer to the Stadio Artemio Franchi at the end of the current campaign.
