Fiorentina thrashed Juventus 2-0

The win for Fiorentina is a great deal as they will make a comeback to the European football for the first time in five years as they defeated Juventus and made it to the next season of the Conference League. Alfred Duncan gave a shot at half-time and Nicolas Gonzalez shot a late penalty giving their side the win they were looking for. This secured their spot in the continental competition for the next season.

Fiorentina managed to claim the 7th position in Italy’s top flight and is 3 points ahead of Atalanta who was defeated at home 1-0 by Empoli. This is the first time they would miss out on Europe since Gian Piero Gasperini became the coach in 2016. Lazio closed their season in fifth, a point and one place above local rivals Rome after an entertaining 3-3 home draw with Verona.
