Fonte thinks United will regret not signing Renato

Before Portuguese wonder boy Renato Sanches signed his new contract with Bayern Munich, Jose Mourinho was trying to do everything in his power to convince the young star of playing for Manchester United. However, bad logistics and time prevented him from reaching an agreement and Bayern Munich was the lucky team to sign him. A lot of people was wondering why it is that Mourinho got so crazy to sign him before the summer, today we know why.

We are before arguably one of the best young talents in the world and without question the best young talent for this European Championship. The maturity of which he has played this tournament gives Renato the tag of being one of the best at the Euros overall. During Portugal's match against Poland, he played as if he was already a 30-year old man. His playing style resembles that of a young Cesc Fabregas back when he played for Arsenal FC.

His teammate Fonte praised the young player after the Poland game: "Being a Premier League player, for me, they missed out on a very good talent. He's a nice kid, he listens to the old guys, he wants to learn, which is good. It's great to have him around and he'll be the future of the national side for sure. He's got no fear. He just doesn't care. He goes and asks for the ball every second. He's got power and strength, energy to run all day and great ability. It is lucky for Bayern Munich that they have him."
