Francisco Trincão has officially ended his spell at Sporting CP, completing a high‑profile transfer to Al‑Ahli SFC after weeks of speculation. The 26‑year‑old winger arrives in the Saudi Pro League following a strong 2025‑26 campaign in Portugal, where he made 34 league appearances and scored seven goals. Al‑Ahli unveiled him on Saturday, confirming a deal worth around €40 million and a contract running until June 2030.

The Portuguese international is expected to play a central role in the club’s attacking plans, particularly after the departure of Riyad Mahrez, which left a significant void in the frontline. Trincão’s blend of creativity, pace and end product makes him a major reinforcement for a side aiming to remain competitive at the top of the Saudi League. His move marks a new chapter in his career and signals Al‑Ahli’s intent to continue attracting top European talent.
