Substitute Jonathan Ikoné delivered a stunning upset at the Parc des Princes, scoring the late winner to eliminate reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain from the French Cup. This shock 1-0 victory marked PSG’s first home defeat in this competition since 2022 and their earliest exit in over a decade.

Before kickoff, former captain Mamadou Sakho officially announced his retirement. Once play began, Luis Enrique’s side dominated possession, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia threatening early on. However, Paris FC’s goalkeeper Obed Nkambadio proved the ultimate hero, denying Gonçalo Ramos and Vitinha with spectacular saves.

The decisive moment arrived in the final twenty minutes. Ikoné, having replaced the injured Alimami Gory, finished a swift counterattack before refusing to celebrate. Despite intense late pressure and a close header from Désiré Doué, the LVMH-backed underdogs held firm. Currently fighting relegation in Ligue 1, newly promoted Paris FC celebrated a historic derby triumph over their dominant city rivals.
