Fulham and Crystal Palace Split Points

In the last moments of the game, Joel Ward, an unexpected hero, came from behind the defence to scramble in a vital equaliser and secure a point for the Eagles. Ward's pivotal goal was his first in the Premier League in more than four years, but it wasn't the only unexpected development of the day. Aleksandar Mitrovic showed off his impressive hitting skills with a dominating brace for Fulham upon his return from an eight-match suspension.

Odsonne Edouard's first goal was immediately cancelled out by Mitrovic's commanding presence and precise finishing, who also converted a penalty just before halftime. After the interval, the Serbian striker gave Fulham the lead by heading in a teasing Willian free-kick to temporarily quiet the visiting Crystal Palace supporters. Willian nearly gave Fulham a bigger lead, but Sam Johnstone of Palace made a brilliant save on his scorching long-range shot.
