Fulham is reportedly interested in signing Alessio Romagnoli, according to a report by the Italian publication Quotidiano Sportivo. In an attempt to find a long-term successor for Tosin Adarabioyo, the Cottagers are looking for a center-back. Newcastle United is also interested in the 29-year-old Lazio defender. Since moving from AC Milan to Lazio in July 2022, Alessio Romagnoli has revived his faltering career. The Italian international, a product of AS Roma's junior level, became well-known while playing with the Giallorossi. However, throughout his seven-year tenure with AC Milan, his stock rose.

In his last years at San Siro, the 29-year-old captained AC Milan, where he won the Serie A championship. However, once Chelsea's Fikayo Tomori came, his stock dropped. Romagnoli, who has since made frequent appearances, departed AC Milan in July 2022 as a free agent. This season, he has made 19 appearances and contributed one assist.
