At Craven Cottage, Emile Smith Rowe and Alex Iwobi scored goals to give Fulham a 2-1 victory over Leicester City. With a goal from Iwobi twenty minutes into stoppage time on Saturday, Marco Silva's squad secured their first Premier League victory of the 2024–25 campaign.
In the eighteenth minute, Smith Rowe, a summer transfer from Arsenal, broke the goalless draw and started his Fulham account. Before the half, Wout Faes headed in an equalizer, but Iwobi's breakaway strike beneath Leicester goalkeeper Mads Hermansen proved the hosts' superiority in the end. By the time Adama Traore and Iwobi set up Smith Rowe to fire decisively past Hermansen, the latter two had already been stopped. Against the flow of play, Faes scored the equalizer by heading past Bernd Leno at a corner.
